Teleophthalmology is a branch of telemedicine that delivers eye care through digital medical equipment and telecommunications technology.

Tele Opthamology solutions allow opthamologists to examine patients' eyes, or check-in about treatments from a distance. A common example is an opthamologist diagnosing and treating an eye infection. These solutions are usually either live or store-and-forward telemedicine.
